camwyn | (no subject)

*grumble*

FF.N insists that my email address isn't registered and therefore it can't give me back my password SO SORRY TOO DUMB. I tried my regular addr, my gmail, and my old Yahoo addr. Hell, even my old hotmail. No good. As I've emailed the site people in the past to ask about how the hell they can no longer have ANY of my email addresses on record and they never got back to me, I've decided, screw it. New account time.

If I post anything at FF.N from now on it's going to be under the name Camwynya, as that's given in the Deed of Paksenarrion books as being the feminine (or possibly possessive) form of the male name Camwyn. No, this does not mean I am necessarily seized with the urge to write John Constantine again, but I am trying to force myself to get back into Potterdom enough to at least revive Who Ya Gonna Owl. It's been a damn long time but there are Ghostbusters gnawing at my brain and that's not really something you want to have as a chronic condition. (Also I have a mild urge to see if I can't take what I wrote for Gordon in his journal and make that into viable Half-Life fanfic, even if the Pit isn't exactly the best forum for it.)

Hey, not quite related, but excitement over seeing more of Who Ya Gonna Owl got me thinking about it; I recall you mentioned that someone was doing an official compilation of Sgt. Preston stories and that they wanted to include yours. I made a memo to myself at the time that this might be a good birthday or Christmas gift for my Mom, and her birthday is coming up. Is it out, yet? Or shall I find something else for the moment and hope for Christmas?

It was supposed to start being distributed in early June. I haven't seen it yet, even though I signed up for a copy. I'd suggest finding something else, and as soon as I get hold of a copy or hear of others getting theirs, I'll let you know.

The distribution list just indicated that there've been some problems with the audio encoding of several episodes, so they're redoing those and then making them available. Thought I should keep you posted.

Just read "Who Ya Gonna Owl," over on fanfiction.net, please update if you can. You left that fic on a cliffhanger, and I want to know what happens next.
