Dear Brane:

Davos = place in Switzerland where rich powerful ppl meet & discuss gobs and gobs of money.

Davros = Dalek Pimp Daddy.

Pls to not be hearing the second when CNBC talks about the first. No matter how appealing the prospect of economic summit being scattered to the eight winds to cries of "EXTERMINATE, EXTERMINATE" might be.

Of course, now my mind is picturing a fic called "Davros in Davos," which no one would get. And everyone who didn't know who Davros was would think the fic was a PWP. Sigh.

Apropos of nothing, I would LOVE to see a fic in which Ray became the Doctor's latest Companion. Ray with a lightsaber and a sonic screwdriver...the man would be in heaven.

Well, he did spend six months tootling around with Romana, which means that may have been the geekiest six months in the history of dimensional travel. Still, the Doctor...

(I'm still rather proud of the fact that Ray helped Nine get back out of Milliways and not get incinerated by Cybermen lasers when he came in.)

And now I have an image of Davros in a very fly purple suit with matching hat. No uber-heeled shoes but definitely a sweet paint job on the chair, and maybe some hydraulic lifts.

"Yo, yo, dis is Xzibit, and welcome to 'Pimp My Dalek'!"

That would make for much better TV.

Naturally. And of course, CMT would have to "Trick My TARDIS."

I'd watch.

Brane's been making the same mistake since I first heard the name 'Davos'. I spent a lot of last year twitching because of the constant CNBC reports on the economic summitry going on there.

Though... the Daleks have been known to attack summits before...
