Wow.

What a difference a single sheet of foam rubber makes... I have had the same mattress on my bed for the last ten or fifteen years. It has developed troughs and lumps as a result of my habit of sleeping on my side. Very, very uncomfortable when I roll over and find myself on the central beam. I cannot currently afford a new mattress - I'm saving, but right now it's not in the cards. Yesterday I went looking for a lumbar support pillow for my dad's car for his Father's Day present. Couldn't find one- the auto supply places were closed, Bed Bath and Linens and Things didn't have them, neither did Macy's - but I *did* get a big plastic container to hold my winter clothes, and a sheet of cushioning foam rubber cut to fit a twin-sized mattress. It's been ages since my bed felt even the least little bit cushy. this was great. I got to sleep on that last night. . . definitely worth $9.99.

Meanwhile happily giggling to myself over the PBEM I'm running, currently for just [livejournal.com profile] quintus. (I'm open to other people, but only if you're not going to play in VicMage.Asia eventually - this is debugging the setting.) Poor bastard. His bed won't see foam rubber for at least seventy years - or more.

Hey, I gave you a plant. And a paddle. And I refrained from making you use a chamber pot. You got the NICE inn. The one for Tibetan locals sleeps four to a room and has an outhouse.

Yes... the paddle. I don't want an explaination of how THAT is meant to be used. I am now getting flashbacks to the "2 shells" from 'demolition man'.

I don't even have my mission briefing in paper format for me to 'recycle'.

what happens in three or four weeks? I didn't see Kotex on the list of supplies.

That's because, being English, I don't tend to mention the travel pack of Lil-ets that most women I know tend to carry with them :-)

*cackle* Sorry. Just noting, it popped to mind. It's in kind of the same vein as how Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson must surely have been in severe need of bran, because story after story depicts them eating but I cannot remember any Doyle work ever mentioning the existence of a loo. I don't care if it never gets used, as long as it at least exists...
