Slight change in my friends list:

I'm moving as many of my groups as possible to the friends list of a separate journal, [livejournal.com profile] groupses. I have no intentio of updating [livejournal.com profile] groupses itself unless I have to. It exists so that I can go through my groups and stuff on a single friendslist without losing track of posts from individuals in all the group-noise.

I'd like to add some comic-strip feeds as well, but I don't know where to look. [livejournal.com profile] olna_jenn, is there a list?

I'm not [livejournal.com profile] olna_jenn, and I don't know if there's a list of just ocmics feeds (somehow, I doubt it - it would be maintained by hand, if so, so out of date), but there is a list of all syndicated feeds by number of readers:

You may also want to check back posts in [livejournal.com profile] syn_promo - and I and Jenn each have several comics listed.

Though, if you intend to add them to groupses, be aware that as a free account it can't watch very many syndicated accounts. Paid get a lot more syn points than free.

Another solution to your problem might be custom friends groups. I don't actually post to differing security levels; all of my custom groups are to define reading groups. I have bigger groups: "People", "Communities", and "Syndicated Feeds", and I have several subdivisions of each. My aim was to have each group produce no more than 2 friends-pages of posts per day - if more than that regularly, then it's time to subdivide. That way, you get the benefit of your main account syndication points, and can just be logged in as you, but don't have to read a huge friends list or risk losing people-posts amongst the group posts.

You could create the friends groups, then just create bookmarks that pointed to them. It is a bit annoying, though.
