Gah.

Twitchy. Too much energy. Want to get through workday. Want to get to tomorrow so I can finish Christmas shopping. Want to do something creative; running a game session would do but the only gamefoo I have to run is, well, VicMage.Asia and I can't run that 'cos that requires the original VicMage to be finished. Want to write something but I can't pull my thoughts together far enough to write anything specific. Want to discharge as many of my obligations (phone bill payment, credit card payment, etc.) as I can so that they're out of the way. Want to get rid of the nervous tic that comes back every time I think about paying the bills, as that's my biggest obligation now that my term paper is over. Want to see my mom be all happy when I give her Meet Me In St. Louis for Christmas & my dad be happy when I give him the knife he wanted; would really like to see my sister happy w/her present (set of mittens + cookbook from her wedding registry) but I generally don't get that kind of result when I buy her Christmas presents for whatever reason. Karate class tonight, looking forward to that, haven't been in more than a week (was sick last Thursday, had to finish paper Monday). Aaargh!

Paid bill #1: cellphone. The sale of my data mining textbook to a Washington think tank paid for a month of Verizon service. I don't use the cellphone all that often, but when I need it, it's generally pretty vital. I only get 150 min a month but I get no roaming anywhere in the continental US, and since I need the thing most when I'm on Red Cross business, the 'no roaming' thing is most important to me.

Tomorrow: credit card payment, rent to parents, payment to Kean for school... uggh.

You are oriental and you are giving someone a knife for Christmas? Haven't you heard the old Chinese legend that says if you give someone a knife, they will use it to kill you? Make your father pay a dollar for the knife. It will be much better luck that way.

Oh dear. I hadn't realized the impression I gave was that strong... I'm honorary Asian, at best. Ask [livejournal.com profile] condotierre...

I'm Caucasian. Mom's family is from Italy. Dad's family is from Northern Ireland/England/Scotland/Bavaria. I can be visually mistaken for Greek, Italian, and possibly Jewish - but I am by no stretch of the imagination Asian.

She's white. 8-)

Slight olive green cast to the skin from time to time, and there was the night she tried to convince herself she was really Romulan (only with Diane Duane in so it was Rhiannsu)... but nope, allow me to corroborate her own testimony: she's white.
