Cosplay hair color question

I am fundamentally lazy when it comes to cosplay and prefer to go with looks I can wear to multiple cons during summertime without sweltering, falling over, or having to learn embroidery to accomplish. I've got two cons I'll be attending this summer and I really liked the version of Aunt May from Into The Spider-Verse. Anybody have a good grey or silver temporary hair color they'd recommend? My hair's too dark for me to be willing to bleach it, but I can deal with something that'll look okay for a day or two and wash out after a few days. I live within range of a Target, a Sally Beauty Supply store, and Dorothy's Costume Boutique.

No wigs, please.

I haven't colored my hair in decades so I'm not up on current brands, but the costume boutique sounds more likely to have colorants that will wash out quickly. Something conditioner-based like Overtone might be good, too.

Dorothy's has color sprays for hair, I know that much. I'll ask the guy there if they carry colored hair waxes- I tried looking through reviews of various temporary hair color options on Makeup Alley and mostly got the sense that hair as dark as mine isn't going to cooperate with anything less than a handful of goop without bleaching.

True: with dark hair you may only get highlights with a washable colorant.
