I hope he turns out to be more competent as the series goes on. I've only seen four episodes so far, and right now he- and most of the Chicago cops- ring a little too strongly of parody for my tastes. He started winning points last night when he had to deal with Richard Moll the poo-seller, and got things right. We'll see how it goes.
