Oct. 30th, 2003 12:32 amGot about a page's worth of Diary of a Mountie done today. Have sent it to
batyatoon for fact checking. I think tomorrow I may have enough time to get some more done at work; I may actually have enough to put up as a REAL POST tomorrow. Huzzah!
Side note: listening to the Gene Pitney version of "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance" works awfully well as a kick-in-the-butt means of forcing inspiration. It works like this:
GENE: From the moment a girl becomes full grown, the very first thing she learns-
ME: . o O ( I don't really feel like writing just now, do I? )
GENE: When two men go out to face each other-
ME: . o O ( Um. Where are the police? Never mind the lawyer- can we at least have a marshal or something? )
GENE: Only one returns...
ME: Agh! All right, all right, I will write about the damn Mountie if only to get the !&(*&! Western out of my head!
