Back at work.
And back from Canada. All, it seems, is going well. True, I'm playing catch-up, but there's not that much to catch up on just at the moment. I've posted my first batch of donations to the fundraiser software, and there's three more to go, one of which is being worked on by a volunteer. It's Wednesday, which means that in about ten minutes when the volunteer goes home to lunch I can drive to Time Warp Comics. All, it seems, is well.
Meanwhile I'm listening to a CD I burned the other night. I tend to make up soundtracks for my characters. I suppose I probably ought to be worried that now I find myself making them for NPC's... especially when they're as angry as this NPC sounds. Here, to give you an idea:
Deliver Us, Prince of Egypt soundtrack (I really only need the first 3 minutes of this - I plan on editing that in the next burn)
Hazy Shade of Winter, Simon and Garfunkel (although the Bangles sound better, I don't own that on CD)
No Son of Mine, Genesis
In The End, Linkin Park (White men and one Japanese man who can rap! In English!)
How You Remind Me, Nickelback
The Boxer, Simon and Garfunkel
Break It Down Again, Tears for Fears
Christmas Eve - Sarajevo 12/24, Trans-Siberian Orchestra
The Plagues, the Prince of Egypt soundtrack
King of Pain, The Police
Goldeneye, Tina Turner (on the Goldeneye soundtrack)
Cult of Personality, Living Colour
Lightning Crashes, Live
Desert Rose, Sting
Until the End of the World, U2
Higher, Creed
Once I get this properly burned and the CD case designed I plan on doing the major joyful NPC next, but Angry Man here figures pretty damn prominently, so he got to go first.
Today's pulp survival tip is #174: Be aware of the differences between dialects of any languages that you or others of the party speak. If there's some way that these differences can lead to trouble, rest assured, it will happen.
